The Greek Gods

In social sciences we are learning about the Greek Gods.
The greeks adored different gods. The gods had human form. The gods lived in the Olimpo mountain, below the authority of Zeus, his powers were the sky and the ray, and his symbol, the eagle. Hera, his wife, protects their family. And his brother, Poseidon was the sea god, his symbol was the trident.
Apolo, was the father of the muses; Afrodita, goddess of the beauty and the love; Ares, the god of the wars; Dionisio, the wine god, his symbols were the glass of wine and some grapes; Hermes the messenger god; Hefesto, the fire god; Atenea, goddess of the knowledge and Artemisa the goddess of hunting.

DISNEY PASSION
Once upon a time there were seven dwarfs, it was the 23rd of April 1992. They went to school, and that day they had a scary class, and Monsters inc. taught them.
Monster inc. hired Shrek, because he was very ugly. The school time finished, and Shrek went to his house, Shrek saw a fire, and Pinochio rescued the people with the nose.
Shrek went to his house and saw Fiona with the Beast (The beauty and the Beast) Shrek said to Fiona that he wanted the divorce.
Then Shrek went with Minnie Mouse.
They were together for one year, they had children: mice with ogre faces.
The Donkey, Shrek's best friend , was gay and he liked Hercules's horse (Pegasso). They got married.
One day they were walking in the forest and they saw the three pigs' house and they went to live there.
Fiona was tired of the Beast and Shrek was tired of Minnie Mouse.
Fiona and Shrek were together again
AND THEY LIVED HAPPYLY EVER AFTER.

Story Contest Winner

Love Obsession

Once upon a time there was a woman who lived in Manhattan. Her name was Kate, she was a servant in a important hotel.
One day she was cleaning a room and her son came with a man. The son didn´t have a father, his name was Charlie. The man was the richest man in the country. Kate was wearing a dress of the room´s owner, a famous woman when they came in. Kevin, the man, said:
-“ Can you come with me for a walk?”.
He was in love with her, and she was in love too.
She accepted:
-“ Yes, I will go.”
They went to a park near the hotel.

ONE YEAR LATER

Kate didn´t see Kevin in this year, he didn´t called her and she didn´t have his telephone number.
But one night they were walking in the same park where they were together. Kate and Kevin met again. They were very happy.
In the park they sat down on a bench, and Kevin kissed Kate. She went running, because she thought that a servant couldn´t be with a rich man.
The next day in the morning he went to the hotel, to look for Kate, but she saw him before and escaped through the back door.
But he ran to catch her. He called her and said:
-“ If you really love me, come tonight to the party of my friend César, the party is in the mansion near the hotel. Please go.”
In the party, he was looking at the door and Kate appeared, she was very pretty, she was wearing a dress. He introduced her to his friends, she didn´t want this, and went out to the garden, she wanted to talk to him to explain that she was a servant, not a rich woman. He went out and talked to her, she explained all and then she went to her house. He was very surprised. But he loved her and didn´t want to lose her.
And he said:
-“Do you want to marry me?. I don´t mind if you are a servan, or a rich woman. I LOVE YOU”.
She, very happily, answered his questions:
-“ Are you sene that you don´t mind?”
-“ Yes, I´m very scare.” He said”
-“ Im love you, too and want to marry you. –“She answered”

Five month later Kate and Kevin married in Hawai, in a secret wedding. Only Charlie, Kevin´s and a friend of Kate.
In the wedding ball they promised that anybody calld separated them.

AND THEY LIVED HAPILY EVER AFTER.

Story Contest II

The story contest was a success!!!
All the students worked in groups of three people and came up with a story they printed and presented in posters.
We swapped our stories ( 1º E ones) with students in 2º E; and what we did was to read and assess the other students´ writings. They did the same with ours.
Finally we decided which one we liked best according to content, expression and presentation.
Students gave a global report on the best ones and let the other students know the story they liked best.
In 1º E the project titled " Love Obsession" by Myriam Lamartí, Elisabeth López and Alba Navalmoral was awarded as the best one.
Disney Passion ( by Sheila Tejero, Iván Martín and José Manuel Fernández) and The Power of Flamenco ( by Susana Chen Zhu, Tatiana González and Luis Pacheco) were also mentioned.

Story contest

In English class we are doing a project about stories.
In this project we have to write a story in groups of three people. The story can be invented or it can be a famous story changing the end.
On Thursday we are going to know who the winner is. The second year students have to decide who the winner is in our class and we have to decide the winner in their class. The winners will have a prize so, good luck to everybody!!
